Old Westbury Gardens:Blog Garden: Snap into Spring-Winners of our first photo contest

Thank you to everyone who participated on May 2nd and 3rd 2009 for our first childrens photography contest! The contest was open to children Grades k-5 and each participant was given a disposable camera, a map of the gardens and some photography tips to send them on their adventure.

The weather wasn't so great that particular weekend, but you all still managed to take beautiful photographs! I think that these photos reflect that you dont have to have expensive equipment to be a great photographer.

We hope that all of you come back with your friends and family to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary this year. Don't forget to bring your camera and capture the change of the seasons.
